It’s not just miniatures being revealed at the World Championships of Warhammer – a trove of awesome Black Library books are on their way, reuniting fans with some of their favourite characters and continuing the tales of Minka Lesk, Malaneth Witchblade, Roboute Guilliman, and more.
Shade of Khaine
You may know the sinister assassin Maleneth Witchblade from her adventures alongside Gotrek, but now she stars in a novel of her own – but things aren’t all sunshine and rainbows. The Order of Azyr are hot on her tail, and her few allies have long since abandoned her.
To top it all off, her coven in the city of Nightcliff has been reduced to tatters and debauchery reigns in the once-devoted domain of Khaine. Now, Maleneth sets off to avenge her sisters with an Ogor mercenary and a Kharadron anarchist in tow, while the web of conspiracy surrounding Nightcliff may just spell doom for the entire Realm of Shadow if they can’t stop it first.
Shade of Khaine by Evan Dicken will also be available in a slick Limited Edition, featuring gold foil details embossed on a rich purple cover.
Gotrek and Maleneth: The Omnibus
Gotrek Gurnission is a legend of the World-that-Was, cursed with an unfortunate fate – survival, even after his entire world collapsed around him. With his slayer oaths in tatters and the Master Rune of Grimnir seared into his flesh, he seeks new purpose in the Age of Sigmar with the aelven assassin Maleneth at his side.
This omnibus edition is the perfect way to experience the unlikely pair’s early adventures, containing the novels Ghoulslayer, Gitslayer, and Soulslayer by Darius Hinks alongside the novella The Bone Desert by Robbie MacNiven and three further short stories. You can also brush up on your Gotrek lore right now in Realmslayer: Legend of the Doomseeker by David Guymer – the collected account of Gotrek’s first moments in the unfamiliar lands of the Mortal Realms.
Hell’s Last
From faceless trooper to honoured officer of the Cadian 101st, Minka Lesk has earned her survival in the tumultuous times following the fall of Cadia with grit, determination, and no shortage of cunning. Even that, however, may not be enough to pull her from the fire when her regiment is called upon to defend vital bastions on the war-torn world of Alia.
The entire Gallows Cluster buckles under relentless enemy attack, and the Cadian 101st must push through in a brazen gambit if they’re to have any hope of breaking the siege before it grinds them into paste. But with a jungle as deadly as any enemy surrounding them, will their hard-won experience be enough to keep them alive?
Hell’s Last by Justin D Hill is the next chapter in the story of Minka Lesk, and an essential window into the world of the Astra Militarum still fighting to hold back the darkness flowing from the Eye of Terror.
The Silent King
The Dawn of Fire series is the premier account of the Imperium’s counterattack following the opening of the Great Rift, as Roboute Guilliman leads the Indomitus Crusade to reclaim uncountable worlds beset by aliens, daemons, and heretics. The series comes to a close in The Silent King by Guy Haley, as the sudden disappearance of an entire battlefleet draws the Avenging Son away from his reclaimed realm and into the treacherous Pariah Nexus where a resurgent Necron empire stirs in the stillness.
The disparate dynasties of the Necrons have begun to coalesce with a curious unity never seen before among their ambitious and prideful leaders, leading some to whisper of the return of an ancient power that holds dominion over all. Whispers… of the Silent King.
This epic novel joins its brothers in a regal leather-effect Limited Edition which matches the previous eight Dawn of Fire tales, as well as all of the regular editions you know and love.
The Art of Warhammer 40,000
The long annals of Black Library have seen hundreds of iconic pieces of art grace book covers and provide internal illustrations. Now fans of this beautiful artistry can revel in The Art of Warhammer 40,000 – a sprawling collection of puissant pictures past and present. This unmissable visual companion to the Warhammer hobby includes art of fan-favourite characters like Ibram Gaunt, Gregor Eisenhorn, and more across over 200 individual images covering the Imperium, its allies, and its enemies.
Red Tithe, Outer Dark, and Void Exile
Though all loyal Space Marines are dedicated to defending the peoples of the Imperium, some are far from the image of angelic saviours held by the common man – such as the Carcharodons, brutal and inhuman killers who lurk beyond the bounds of the galaxy. Their task is a thankless one, plying the very fringes of the Imperium for enemies beyond mortal ken, but even still, their devotion to the Emperor is second to none.
Two classic tales of their exploits return to shelves with matching special editions of Red Tithe and Outer Dark by Robbie MacNiven – the former of which shows why the Carcharodons really give the Night Lords a run for their money in terms of brutality – while a brand new adventure titled Void Exile will be coming soon. We’ll have more information for you shortly.
